Ken Hess Scholarship of Honor
Kenny attended Reynolds High School and at the age of 20, joined the Army. He was very proud to serve his country and had plans of making a career out of the Army. Ken served in the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team based out of Fort Wainwright, Alaska where he lived with his wife April. He was father to his 10-year-old son, Alex and a protective big brother. He wanted to have another child and grow old with April and watch Alex grow into a man. A scholarship in his name will educate others about honor and determination.

Jessica Brown was awarded the 2011 Ken Hess Scholarship of Honor. Jessica plans to enter into the nursing field.

Nicholas Wright was awarded the 2010 Ken Hess Scholarship of Honor. He will be entering in the Psychology and Pre-Medicine fields. He is pictured here with Kenny's Dad, Terry Hess.
2009
Tyler McEntire received the 2009 Ken Hess Scholarship and is studying Education.
2008
The 2008 Ken Hess Scholarship of Honor was awarded to Lauren Hill. Lauren plans a career in healthcare.
2007
The first annual Ken Hess Scholarship of Honor was awarded to Joanne Phipps. Joanne is studying fire safety engineering and is active in the Army ROTC program in Charlotte.
