Danny Dietz, 25, Littleton, CO


In 1999 Danny graduated from Heritage High School and joined the Navy three months later. While in high school, he played football his senior year and was active in weight lifting and swimming. Danny had two weeks of service left in Afghanistan when he was killed on June 28, 2005. Danny was posthumously awarded one of our nation's highest honors for heroism, the Navy Cross. Danny's widow, Maria, said he was not only her friend and role model, but her hero. He is a true hero to so many.

2011

Matthew RaylMatthew Rayl will be attending the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice while particpating in the Army ROTC. He is pictured here with Navy Seal David Preedy and Mr. Dietz, Danny's father.

Alexander J. Martens received the 3rd annual Danny Dietz Scholarship and is studying Law Enforcment.

Lauren A. Parke is the 2008 recipient of the Danny Dietz Scholarship of Honor. Lauren will persue a medical career in EMT/EMS and Nursing.

Zachary Mamigonian was the first recipient of the Danny Dietz Scholarship of Honor. He entered into Fire Safety.
