Ron Sager Scholarship of Honor
Back in 1965 the U.S. was embroiled in the Vietnam War. And there was a graduate from Fox Valley Lutheran wondering where life's journey would take him. It came as no surprise that Ron Sager would find himself a couple years later fighting for his country. Ron served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 as a combat medic with the Army's 9th Infantry Division. He founded the Fox Valley Vietnam Veterans Association and was a lifelong advocate for veterans' benefits.
Ron died taking part in another one of his passions, riding a motorcycle. He was 60 years old. While Ron is not here in person, ask any area Vietnam Veteran who Ron Sager was and they'll tell you he was a friend.
