As Americans, we pull through challenging times by pulling together. That has always been the foundation of this great land. On 11.11.11 as we celebrated “What’s Right With America.”

On this historic day, the Brian LaViolette Foundation recognized the extraordinary people who have helped change the lives of countless individuals throughout the world, highlighting the cross-section of America.

Here are some thoughts from several of our atteendees:

  • “Thanks for a wonderful evening on November 11th. It was a wonderful tribute to Brian and for all of the students you help through scholarships.”

         --Nancy Schopf, Partners in Education

  • “You outdid yourselves with the 11.11.11 event. The number of effusive comments I have heard following the event has been amazing. If that event could be duplicated across America, our nation would have a much different spirit and outlook.“

--Lou LeCalsey-Brian LaViolette Foundation Board Member

  • “11.11.11 was an outstanding event, and I was proud to have had the chance to attend. You should be proud of the outcome of all of your work in putting this epic evening together.”

--Congratulations, Jim Robinson, President Tufco Technologies

  • "Thank you for the most meaningful and wonderful evening I have had in a long, long time. Everyone of my guests were overwhelmed by the sincerity, beauty and pageantry of the evening. Brian would be proud what you pulled off for his foundation."

         --John Keegan, Owner Global Recognition

  • “Since meeting you in 2007, I have been reminded time and time again of the difference the Brian LaViolette Foundation is making. You folks, along with everyone else involved with the Foundation are changing lives every day in this country and around the world. Our time in Green Bay was the best four days of my life and I am so fortunate to call you my friends.”

--Zach Sites-2007 Eric McColley Scholarship of Honor Recipient-Gettysburg, PA

  • “Words are inadequate to express the depth of my appreciation as one of the inaugural “Spirit Award” recipients. Both the surprise of the experience and the recognition rank among the top moments of my life.” My admiration for you is profound because of how you have had the fortitude and emotional strength to build an astonishing legacy for your beloved son and brother."

--Nick Del Calzo-creator and photographer, Medal of Honor Portraits of Valor

  • "I wanted to tell you guys what a GREAT event “What’s Right with America” was. I know you all worked really hard and it showed. The only thing greater than the event was your combined humility....but please know you have and are making a huge difference and I am proud to part of it in a small way."

--Perry Kidder, Kidder Communications and Brian LaViolette Foundation Board Member

  • "As Debbie and I consider what to be thankful for this year, have to list the following...
-Living in a community that cares about transcendent values.
-People with a vision for the future that goes beyond personal benefit.
-People who choose to motivate from the positive rather than the negative.
(ie focusing on "What's right about America")
-Being presented with the challenge to turn our pain into a Legacy...As you have done with yours!

        Sincerely, Ron and Debbie Ross
